Chiropractor and EDI Consultant Philippa Oakley

Philippa (she/her) is a qualified chiropractor with ten years experience within the NHS and private health sector. In addition to her work as a Chiropractor, she is an experienced Equality, Diversity and Inclusion consultant with a specialist interest in care of the LGBTQ+ population. In 2023, she was the recipient of the British Chiropractic Association's "Chiropractor of the Year" award in recognition of the work she has done to develop EDI within the Chiropractic profession. Philippa and her wife Rhiannon work extensively with the NHS, UK Healthcare Regulators, professional membership associations and private practices to develop EDI within their organisations. In addition, Philippa is the clinical director of Acorn Health, an award-winning Chiropractic clinic based in Wiltshire. Philippa graduated from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic and was awarded the RCC’s prize for best research project for her work into how thoughts and feelings surrounding back pain can impact a patient’s response to care. She holds a PgCert in Professional Development (Chiropractic) with AECC University Colege and was the recipient of the Royal College of Chiropractors' Graham Heale Award for Outstanding Postgraduate Training Candidate. Philippa also holds a SFEDI Level 5 Diploma in Personal Performance Coaching (Distinction), is a Professional Member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council and is a Coach and Mentor with the NHS Leadership Academy.

Business Development Strategist and EDI Consultant Rhiannon Oakley

Rhiannon (she/her) has extensive experience in marketing, PR and business consultancy and is an experienced Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Consultant. As an executive coach and mentor Rhiannon works with individuals, teams and organisations around the world to enhance their EDI activities with a focus on improving person-centred communication skills. She has over 10 years' experience in the chiropractic field, working as Practice Manager to assist the expansion of her wife's award-winning inter-disciplinary chiropractic clinic. Rhiannon continues to work with clinics of all sizes to improve their patient journey and processes, in addition to providing individual and group coaching to foster team cohesion and a shared vision for success. Through Oakley Partnership, Rhiannon delivers training, consultancy services, executive leadership coaching and reciprocal mentorship to Local Authorities, the NHS, national and international healthcare membership associations, and healthcare regulators including the General Chiropractic Council. She has been a trustee for the Chiropractic Research Council since 2022.
